Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is introducing its Super 8 brand of budget properties in the UK for the first time.
The US-based company is set to open Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East later this month following a major refurbishment of an existing property. The move comes as part of a deal between Wyndham and UK motorway service area operator Roadchef.
The 41-room hotel will be located just off the M56 motorway close to Greater Manchester. Other facilities will include a bar and restaurant, as well as electric vehicle charging facilities.
Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East will also participate in Wyndham’s Green Certification programme to help properties become more sustainable and reduce emissions.
Wyndham already has more than 65 hotels in the UK across its portfolio of brands, while Super 8 has around 2,700 properties in several destinations globally, including the US, Germany and United Arab Emirates.
Dan Sutton, head of hotels at Roadchef, said: "Launching Super 8 by Wyndham in the UK is a step towards elevating and revolutionising the roadside hotel experience."
